CPE Credit

11  CPE  and  satisfies  requirements  for  Certification  by  the  Treasurer's  Association of Virginia and VGFOA Certificate Program. A certification exam will be given immediately after the end of the class.  The exam is closed book.

Objective

Taught by Fred Parker, Treasurer of Washington County and past president of the Treasurers’ Association of Virginia, this course covers the structure of Virginia state and local  government;  the  Dillon  Rule,  intergovernmental  relations,  how  to  use Opinions of  the  Attorney  General,  FOI  and  Conflict  of  Interest,  the  role  of  the Compensation Board and public meetings.
